Torynorrhina flammea is a species of beetles belonging to the family Scarabaeidae, of about 30–35 millimetres (1.2–1.4 in). In the females tibia of fore legs are wider. This species is characterized by great variability in colours (cobalt blue, emerald green, scarlet red, etc.).
All illustrations in the series Coleoptera are drawn from my own collection of beetles, sourced ethically and sustainable.
The beetles are pinned and spread entrirely by myself and used directly as a reference for my illustrations.
